Rediscovering the importance of sangha
Long-term travel has reminded me of the importance of the sangha, or community.
Our Base Conundrum
In preparing to slow way down, we’re trying to figure out just where that will be. This has created a bit of a conundrum, as you might imagine.

When Tigger announced he was ready to settle down, a part of me almost felt pain. Now, I think I may be more eager than him.
Turn It Off
From time to time I see comments about someone being excited to go somewhere remote so they can turn their cell phone off or be “disconnected.” When I don’t want to be bothered by my cell phone, I use a highly innovative procedure.
Responsible Travel
There are all sorts of definitions describing responsible travel. Usually this term describes a type of travel that is conscientious of the environment, the local culture and people, and so on. However, I think there’s a level of traveling that should be standard across the board.
