Dealing with food cravings in Prague
It’s no secret that Tigger and I are food lovers. Of course, my palate is quite a bit more diverse than his “mac & cheese is a food group” tastes. As we’ve been traveling for quite a while, we’ve been stricken by some rather specific food cravings. It’s kind of like having an itch you just can’t scratch. Prague has been our savior!

If you travel or watch the news regularly, no doubt you’ve seen or heard at least one travel advisory. Through our travels we’ve decided there are some things they just leave out of advisories. Things people really should know.
Unusual Items in our Suitcases
Obviously, packing for long-term travel is a bit different than when going on a short holiday. For our first 2 years of travel, we were very minimalist. I was surprised and proud of the fact that we had such few things considering all the crazy stuff we found in our US condo when we were getting rid of our stuff. Three-year-old grocery store receipts? After being on the road for awhile, though, one begins to “need” some simple but unusual things.

When you’re traveling to new places and new cultures, it’s rather obvious you’re going to miss some things. Items that are popular in Australia may not be popular or even known elsewhere. Looking back at 2013, our year in review
