My best travel apps
Although, I rarely ever use it for what I guess is its primary function—making and receiving calls. It can be incredibly helpful, especially when we’re in a new town. Here are some of what I consider my best travel apps and why I use them. And most of them are free.
Unusual Items in our Suitcases
Obviously, packing for long-term travel is a bit different than when going on a short holiday. For our first 2 years of travel, we were very minimalist. I was surprised and proud of the fact that we had such few things considering all the crazy stuff we found in our US condo when we were getting rid of our stuff. Three-year-old grocery store receipts? After being on the road for awhile, though, one begins to “need” some simple but unusual things.

Then there are the small things that you don’t really think about until you’re on the road for awhile and can’t find them. Sometimes these cravings can be quite odd. Foods One of the items I find myself...

We’ve been in Romania for almost 3 months and have done some short trips while here. It has been quite lovely to leave the suitcase behind and just carry a messenger bag. But. . . Well, we aren’t really feeling the whole being rooted thing. We adore...
