This is a very clear and practical overview of Kuala Lumpur’s rail system and it does a great job of showing why trains are often the smartest way to get around the city. I like how you highlighted both the MRT and LRT as time-saving alternatives to heavy traffic, especially for airport transfers where costs can vary significantly. The fare comparisons make it easy for readers to see the value of public transport. Mentioning the Komuter line to Batu Caves also adds a nice real-world example. Overall, it’s a helpful guide that makes KL’s transit system feel simple and accessible for first-time visitors.

We really enjoyed KL, and actually didn’t take advantage of the trains or buses. We were only there a few days and really should have spent more time there but we were enjoying Penang too much.

Penang is a great place, too. Not as superb as KL, though. 😉 Hopefully, you’ll get a chance to revisit it.
