That seems to be the key. Everyone who tells me how much they loved Tallinn stayed in the old town. I definitely think that’s the key to enjoying Tallinn. Brasov was the same. If you left the historic area, there just is nothing overly enjoyable about the city.

However, we did stay in the old town and were only there for a couple of days – so I probably saw the best bits of it. I’d agree that you don’t need any longer.

When we return to Estonia, we will definitely be venturing into the more rural areas for some hiking!
