It’s no secret I love doing photography. Talk about a big duh, right? Doing photography underwater is a bit more of a challenge, though. Yeah, you have that whole breathing underwater thing, but that’s really relatively easy. Buoyancy can make it a challenge sometimes, too. And those damn fish tend to not want to sit …

A special, spontaneous Thanksgiving
A few years ago, shortly after Tigger’s adoption became final, Thanksgiving was upon us. Usually we had a house full of friends, but that year people had other plans, needed to spend time with their own families, etc.,and so we ended up just having a very small dinner at home with one of my coworkers. …

Monday photo: Cozumel’s east side
While Cozumel, Mexico, is an island, the more inhabited side does not have as much of an easy access to the beach. The western side is fringed with reef which means little to no waves, and popular swimming areas are also full of all sizes of rocks. The southern beach areas are filled with resorts …

A slice of paradise on Ecuador’s coast
We came to this area for Tigger to take some surfing lessons. We “discovered” this little beach town (Olón) while staying at a nearby resort and immediately fell in love with it and moved there after our stay at the resort was done. Tigger and I both agreed this town has made it onto our list …

A little taste of Cuenca life
We live very close to one of the four rivers that run through Cuenca. Every time we walk by we see many locals washing their clothes in the river and then drying them by laying their laundry on the nearby grass. On weekends the whole family will be involved, and it’s a several-hour process.
