The way the seats are numbered, you’re probably sitting across from each other. Had that happen on more than one occasion. I don’t recall a way of reserving specific seats online.

There is NOT a lot of room for storage of luggage, especially larger ones. Having said that, it isn’t uncommon to see suitcases/bags cluttering the aisleways because of that.

Just booked our tickets from Bucharest to Brasov. Question – do you recall if there is a way to reserve seat numbers as well? I didn’t see anything when I was booking and on our e-ticket it shows we are 32 and 41 so it seems we are not seated together. Just curious 🙂 Also, we have a decent amount of luggage with us. Is there usually ample room to store luggage on the trains? That part is stressing me out!

Thanks. My question was a bit stupid. I meant if there are no problems buying tickets from abroad, considering that the ticket prices are in RON. So it works.

I haven’t tried that; however, I have bought train tickets from outside of Romania and have used a US card, so I see no reason why you should have a problem from Finland.
