When it comes to sizes, Seville has almost everything I need, but I’m still able to bump into friends on the daily. I feel safe in Seville, can immerse myself in Spanish and loev the tapas culture here. Madrid only gets me for the ethnic food – No Korean BBQs in Seville!

I’ve been to Madrid countless times, and have fun when I’m there, but I wouldn’t put it on my list of top cities in Europe or even Spain. There’s a lot to see and do, but it’s just failed to captivate me. I do love wandering around Malasana and having a drink in Huertas, though.

I have to admit, I didn’t really spend any time there other than for that activity (I had an overnight layover in Madrid on the way home from Morocco). Oh, and I did ride the metro (That’s how I got from the airport to the city) and found it to be pretty good. Otherwise, I didn’t really have a chance to form an impression of Madrid.

But then, one of my best friends lives there so I guess I get the inside track. And it’s a total night-time city. I love to go out, and very rarely see daylight hours when I am there – just the way I like it 🙂
