Had we not traveled the world and experimented with the idea of living elsewhere, I don&#039;t think we would have ever been truly satisfied with choosing to live in the US. It has given us so much appreciation for the little things, and also the ability to overlook the things we would like to change (as we would if we lived in another country). I also think the road would have been much much longer in trying to figure out WHERE to live and WHAT we wanted, had we not stopped living simply as expats with one home-base and started a life of full-time travel. It made us narrow down the wants/needs much faster!!
