This is beautifully done! I just took a month long trip to Peru for a class at my college. This brought back so many memories! I have been to most of the places you describe and cannot wait to return. If you plan on taking another trip I would recomend a small town called Ollantaytambo about an hour taxi ride from Cusco, especially on the day of the three kings, and the markets at Pisac were increible! Definatly two of my favorite place The best pan can be found in a small bread shop in Oropresa. I recomend anyone to Peru the culture and lifestlye are beyond what we can imagine.

What an amazing post! The information, the pictures, the vibrant colors, and the tips about pickpockets... I found all of it interesting, helpful, and well-written. I myself am hoping to organize a student trip to Peru (I teach junior high) and your article will definitely one that I add to my presentation to generate student / parent interest. Thank you very much! I also write a travel blog, and yours is definitely an inspiration. I need to use more photographs - your post has taught me that! My site is: http://downthewrabbithole.blogspot.com/ if you care to check it out and give me some pointers!
