For the Schengen Zone, it&#039;s definitely more complicated. It&#039;s one reason we haven&#039;t done a lot of sits in Western Europe. You would need a longer-term visa in those areas in order to do a sit that goes beyond the Schengen time. Occasionally, there are little workarounds you can do, but those aren&#039;t without risks.]]></description>

I&#039;m a US citizen with a US passport. I know for most of Europe, you can only stay for 3 months and then you have to go outside the Schengen area for 3 months. Do you just hop in and out of countries/Schengen area before your tourist visa expires?]]></description>
