Setting your base here is the best choice if you want to explore Transylvania and its fortified churches and quiet villages. Also, if you are looking for cycling or hiking tours, Brasov is perfect.

As a local, I would suggest at least 7 days to explore the main attractions around here. Day trips, hikes, cycling tours and most importantly, bear watching tours in the wild are the main attractions, besides the usual Black Church and medieval strongholds.

We will definitely visit Sibiu. I’ve heard wonderful things about it. Brasov is a great base for exploring Transylvania especially.
