I’m one of the few gay men who isn’t a huge fan of Puerto Vallarta—I prefer places that feel less dominated by travelers from my area. PV attracts a lot of gay men from the Pacific Northwest.

If you’re comfortable with nudity, I’d also recommend Zipolite on the Oaxacan coast. It’s Mexico’s only legal nude beach and has a much more chill vibe.
