I’ve had a longtime love affair with Alaska even though I had never been there before a few years ago.  Every so often I get in an Alaska frame of mind and have to go through pictures from my last visit.  It is one of the few places I’ve visited where I felt like I could feel the pulse of the earth.

This photo was taken at Chugach State Park in Eagle River, a suburb of Anchorage.  Sure wish I could find some Pacific salmon now!
